Privacy Policy

This policy covers this website and the estimates we prepare, send and sign with you through our estimating app at estimates.zkbcontracting.com. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What we collect, and when

We collect information in exactly three situations: you fill in the lead form, we prepare an estimate for you, or you load a page.

  • When you submit the lead form: your name, email address, and - if you gave them - your phone number and any message you added.
  • Automatically, at the moment you submit the form: your IP address, the date and time, and the exact page address the form was on.
  • When we prepare an estimate for you: your name and how to reach you, the address of the job, what you tell us about the work, photos of the rooms, and, when you accept an estimate, your typed name, the time, your IP address and the browser and device you used, as the record of your signature.
  • When you load a page: nothing that identifies you. See "Analytics" below.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, session recording, fingerprinting, or third-party advertising networks. This site sets no cookies at all.

Why we collect it

  • The form fields exist so we can do the thing you asked for: get back to you about your inquiry.
  • The IP address and timestamp exist to protect against abuse of the form and to keep a record of when a request was made.

How long we keep it

  • Lead details (your name, email, phone, message): kept while you are a prospect or a client, and deleted on request - see below.
  • Analytics counts: kept indefinitely, because they contain nothing about any individual.

Who else sees it

A few services handle your details for us, and only to do what this page describes. Cloudflare serves this site, stores what the form sends and turns a signed estimate into a PDF. Resend delivers our email: the note that tells us you have been in touch, and any estimate or signed copy we send you. Our estimating app runs on Railway, which hosts it and the records it keeps, including a copy of what the form sends, and Anthropic’s Claude helps us write up the work you describe. Each of them handles your details only on our behalf.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

We will disclose information if the law genuinely requires it. If that ever happens and we are permitted to tell you, we will.

Analytics

If this site uses an analytics tool, it is a privacy-respecting, cookieless one that counts page visits without storing anything that identifies an individual visitor.

Getting your data, or getting rid of it

Email zkbowser1@gmail.com and ask. We will send you a copy of what we hold, correct anything wrong, or delete it, within 30 days.

Children

This is a service sold to businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the effective date at the top changes and the previous version is kept on file.
